Larry Marmie
Larry Marmie returns to the Locomotives as the secondary coach after spending three seasons with the Seattle Seahawks, where he was hired in 2006. Along with Jim Mora in 2007, he helped the revamped secondary lead the NFL in touchdown passes allowed (15) and lead the NFC (4th NFL) with 20 interceptions. The group saw Marcus Trufant lead the team with a career-high seven interceptions and earn his first Pro Bowl berth.
Marmie joined Seattle after serving the previous two seasons as the St. Louis Rams defensive coordinator. In his first year, he led the Rams to a 17th overall defensive ranking.
He began his NFL coaching career with the Arizona Cardinals where he served as defensive backs coach (1996-00) and as a defensive coordinator his last three-plus seasons after Dave McGinnis was named head coach during the 2000 season (2000-03).
Marmie has 28 years of collegiate coaching experience after his quarterback playing days at Eastern Kentucky (1962-65), with his main duties emphasizing the secondary positions.
He and his wife, Linda, have three children, daughters Vicki and Cozy and son, Larry, Jr. with nine grandchildren.
